I did my first carving in a seventh grade art class. I never forgot it. I have carved through a tour in the U S Army, marriage, children, career changes and relocations. For the last 20 years I have been a semi-professional wood sculptor and have been fortunate to experience a wide range of work. From human portraiture to architectural carvings; from realistic wildlife carvings to fantasy figures; it’s all been fun. There has been no limits to what I’ve carved, Human portraiture, animal portraiture, landscapes, architectural and furniture carvings. I have participate in some antique restoration.

I have carved on a lot of different material and am fond of saying “If it’s not moving to fast and doesn’t bite, I’ll try to carve it”.
